IUCAT Displays:
Cook Music Library - Bjoerling
Cook Music Library - Early Music Archive - Cassettes
Cook Music Library - Early Mus Archive LP's
Cook Music Library - Ehret
Cook Music Library - R. Allen
- Type of material: Sound recordings in fragile formats in special collections. In order to
preserve the original, access to the recordings is limited to online listening.
- Where found: These recordings can be heard using any of the IBM PCs in the first and third floor stacks of the Music Library.
- How to access:
- Use IUCAT to find the call number of the item you wish to listen to. If you notice a URL that looks
something like this -- http://www.music.indiana.edu/cgi-bin/var/access?ABD4538 -- you will be
able to access the recording using the VARIATIONS system in the Music
Library.
- If the item is not available, fill out a request form (available at the circulation desk) and return it to the assistant at the reserves station of the circulation desk.
- The item will be digitized as soon as possible (depending upon the number
of requests ahead of yours). You will be notified by email when your request
is ready to use.
- Use Locating
and Listening to Sound Recordings Online if you need assistance in
finding your recording and listening to it in the library.
- Loan periods:
- Archival sound recordings do not circulate.
